On a mountain somewhere between Damascus, Virginia and Mountain City, Tennessee, there is a quiet place where you and your children can hear the voice of God. We call it Ahistadi, Cherokee for "the very best of all."

Whether you go down to the waters of the Creek for Baptisms, or huddle around the campfire in the midst of whispering pines, God's presence speaks to our visitors.

We are used by churches and non-church groups alike. Any weekend may find kids splashing in the swimming hole and hunting crayfish. A group of musicians may find themselves with an impromptu jam session on the porch of our main lodge.

We offer a District Camping program as well as summer rentals for churches, schools, family reunions and other groups set in the Cherokee National Forest. Located 4 miles south of Damascus, Virginia on Route 91 in Laurel Bloomery, we offer the perfect setting for your retreat or activity.
